The site was then redeveloped and landscaped. In 2026, a public artwork will be added to the northern part of the site, where it will be highly visible to both road and active mobility users.

Impact on transportation

Work will be completed by the end of 2025, with no major impact on road traffic. The multipurpose path and sidewalk will remain open throughout the project, except for occasional night-time closures.

Role of the site

In addition to accommodating the building used by JCCBI’s Operations and Maintenance team, the site also supports towing and police operations on the bridge.
