In effect since the summer of 2022, these smoking areas aim to provide a smoke-free environment for all spectators. Smoking is therefore prohibited on the bridge during the fireworks except in designated areas.

To ensure spectator safety during the fireworks, JCCBI would also like to advise users that the bridge is completely closed in the evening from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Note that the bridge access ramps is closed prior to the event at approximately 8 p.m. However, access is maintained for emergency services.

The sidewalk and the multipurpose path are completely closed between 8:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. during these events. Please note that the closing operation begins at least 45 minutes in advance, around 7:45 p.m. Only pedestrians, strollers and people with reduced mobility have access to the bridge; bicycles are not allowed on the bridge.

+ Spectators are allowed to bring their folding chairs during the fireworks at the Jacques Cartier Bridge.

+ Chemical toilets are available on the Jacques Cartier Bridge during these events, near the Jean-Drapeau Park exit ramp, towards Montréal.
