Jacques Cartier Bridge sidewalk

Jacques Cartier Bridge sidewalk

Located on the downstream side of the Jacques Cartier Bridge, the sidewalk stretches over 2.7 km and has an incredible view of the east side of the city and the Port of Montreal. Enhance your excursion through the pedestrian crossing of the Île Sainte-Hélène pavilion, where a large mural takes you on a quick trip back in time.

Active mobility users can use the Jacques Cartier Bridge sidewalk according to the season’s schedule:

Winter season schedule: closed as of December 20 at 10:30 p.m. due to low use over the past years of winter operation.

Regular season schedule: open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week*

*Active mobility users can use the Jacques Cartier Bridge sidewalk at any time of the day or night.
