Jacques Cartier Bridge | Complete closure of the bridge traffic lanes from 8 p.m. to midnight during the fireworks - Summer 2026

To ensure spectator safety during the fireworks, JCCBI will completely close the bridge traffic lanes during the fireworks evenings:

  • Complete closure of the bridge traffic lanes in both directions, from 8 p.m. to midnight.
  • Access will be maintained for emergency services.

 

Active Mobility:

  • The multipurpose path will be completely closed between 7:45 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. during these events. 
  • Only pedestrians, strollers and people with reduced mobility will have access to the bridge.
  • Bicycles will not be allowed on the bridge.
  • The sidewalk is closed for 2026

 

Please consult the list of rules and prohibitions if you plan to attend the fireworks on the Jacques Cartier Bridge. To provide a smoke-free environment for all spectators, smoking is not permitted on the bridge during the fireworks except in designated areas. If you have any questions, please refer to our FAQ.
