Jacques Cartier Bridge | Complete closure of the bridge during the fireworks - Summer 2022
To ensure spectator safety during the fireworks, JCCBI would like to advise road users that the bridge will be completely closed for the fireworks evenings:
- Complete closure of the bridge in both directions, from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
- Please note that the bridge access ramps will be closed prior to the event at approximately 8 p.m.
- Access will be maintained for emergency services.
Active Mobility:
- The sidewalk and the multipurpose path will be completely closed between 8:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. during these events. Please note that the closing operation will begin at least 45 minutes in advance, around 7:45 p.m.
- Only pedestrians, strollers and people with reduced mobility will have access to the bridge.
- Bicycles will not be allowed on the bridge.
Note: To provide a smoke-free environment for all spectators, smoking is no longer permitted on the bridge during the fireworks except in designated areas. Smoking areas will be set up on the bridge during these events.
Other details:
- Spectators are allowed to bring their folding chairs during the fireworks at the Jacques Cartier Bridge.
- Chemical toilets will be available on the Jacques Cartier Bridge during these events, near the Jean-Drapeau Park exit ramp, towards Montréal.
