Longueuil, June 14, 2022 – The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) is pleased to welcome young and old alike to the Jacques Cartier Bridge to enjoy the 36th edition of L’International des Feux Loto-Québec. Starting June 25, the Montreal sky will light up again during nine evenings of different themes.

 

New: Smoking limited to areas on the bridge

To provide a smoke-free environment for all spectators, smoking is no longer permitted on the bridge during the fireworks except in designated areas. Smoking areas will be set up on the bridge during these events. The map of these areas as well as the current guidelines are posted on JCCBI’s website.

 

Bridge closure

 

To ensure spectator safety during the fireworks, JCCBI would also like to advise users that the bridge will be completely closed in the evening from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Note that the bridge access ramps will be closed prior to the event at approximately 8 p.m. Access will be maintained for emergency services. The sidewalk and multipurpose path will remain open to pedestrians only: cyclists will not be allowed to ride their bikes anywhere on the bridge. The sidewalk and the multipurpose path will be completely closed between 8:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. during these events. Only pedestrians, strollers and people with reduced mobility will have access to the bridge; bicycles will not be allowed on the bridge. We invite you to plan your travel accordingly.
