The Héritage Champlain Pathway is now open to the public. Shoreline development carried out by JCCBI has been completed across the project’s three sectors: Île‑des‑Sœurs, the dike and Brossard.
This major project marks the completion of the deconstruction of the original Champlain Bridge and a new milestone: restoring access to the shoreline for the public. Former infrastructure areas have been transformed into accessible and inspiring spaces closely connected to the St. Lawrence River.
The public can now explore this new destination dedicated to active mobility and reflection, created through the coordinated development of all three sites.
The Héritage Champlain Pathway features:
Active mobility users can once again travel along the Estacade to access the Dike, while enjoying views of the river and seamless connections with existing networks.
With a focus on commemorating the legacy of the original Champlain Bridge, shoreline naturalization and ecosystems, the Héritage Champlain Pathway is a place for discovery, relaxation and connection with the river.
