Brossard Sector | Complete closure of Hwy. 132 in both directions under the original Champlain Bridge, from November 4 to 7
WORK CONFIRMED (updated: November 4, 2022)
From Friday, November 4, 10 p.m. to Monday, November 7, 5 a.m.:
- Complete closure of Hwy. 132 in both directions at Exit 76 toward Westbound and at Exit 53 toward Eastbound
- Complete closure of Marie-Victorin Blvd. in both directions at Simard Blvd. toward West and at the Hwy. 10 East access ramp
- Closure of access and exit ramps in the affected areas
- Removal of spans over the Hwy. 132 for the deconstruction of the original Champlain Bridge
Impacts:
- Ongoing work (day/night, above the Hwy. 132 only)
- Visible dust near the work site
- Percussive and operational noise (day/night): possible short-term exceedances of the noise criteria
- Materials trucked away and stored
Mitigation Measures:
- Use of hammers with noise suppression (5 to 10 dBa reduction)
- Noisier work performed during the day
- Temporary acoustic barrier/panel made up of trucks (over 210 m)
- Noise monitored in real time using sound level meters
- Use of water cannons to suppress dust
- Air quality measured in real time
