The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) is committed to maintaining good relations with users and residents during the Champlain Bridge deconstruction project, which will take place until 2023.
For example, JCCBI hold public information meetings to inform residents of Brossard and L’Île-des-Sœurs about the:
Nature of the work;
Work timetable;
Mitigation measures for managing noise levels, air quality and traffic during the work.
The Corporation has been recognized across Canada and received in October 2020 an honorable mention in the International Association of Public Participation – Canada (IAP2 Canada) ‘’Core Values Awards’’.
This rewards JCCBI’s public participation approach implemented as part of the original Champlain Bridge deconstruction project, which notably enabled nearly 5,000 people to participate in the consultation activities held in 2019.
The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) presented its first-ever virtual public meeting on the project to deconstruct the original Champlain Bridge. This meeting was held on Tuesday, October 20 and was led by the JCCBI team and Nouvel Horizon Saint-Laurent (NHSL) group.
