At the 13th Gala of the Grands Prix d’excellence en transport of the Association québécoise des transports (AQTr), which was held virtually on November 5, 2020, JCCBI was honoured with the grand prize in the Winter Viability category. The AQTr Gala supports outstanding initiatives that are meant to inspire the industry.
 

This award recognizes the JCCBI teams who worked on the pilot project to simulate winter operations on the multipurpose path and sidewalk of the Jacques Cartier Bridge. Thank you to ARUP, our test cyclists, and our partners for their contribution to this initiative.
 

The pilot project conducted during winter 2019-2020 allowed us to refine our maintenance, monitoring and communications protocols in real-world conditions. Because of its success, we were able to announce that the path and sidewalk would be open this year, a piece of news that made the active transportation community very happy.
