Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act

Pursuant to this Act, JCCBI has reported the following findings of founded employee wrongdoing:

Findings and Conclusions: a serious breach of a code of conduct established under section 5 or 6. 

Case Description: The JCCBI Senior Officer for Internal Disclosure received a disclosure of wrongdoing under the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act (PSDPA) alleging wrongdoing under paragraph 8 e), a serious breach of a code of conduct established under section 5 or 6. The investigation concluded that an employee obtained reimbursement for monthly transportation tickets in addition to using the JCCBI parking lot, thereby contravening the rules in effect. These actions constitute a serious breach of the JCCBI Values and Ethics Code as it relates to the values of honesty, integrity, responsibility and moral conduct.   

Recommendations and Corrective Measures: The Senior Officer for Internal Disclosure recommended that the delegated manager consult with the Human Resources Department on the possibility of taking disciplinary and administrative measures against the employee.
