The 19th edition of the Grands Prix du génie-conseil québécois 2021 were held on Tuesday, September 21.
We are very proud to announce that our teams, together with CIMA+, which worked on modernizing the systems of the Melocheville Tunnel, won the award in the Telecommunications and New Technologies category at this event.
For this project, The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) asked CIMA+ to come up with a design to modernize the Melocheville Tunnel’s systems, which are located under the canal of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Updating the electrical, automation control and telecommunications systems has made the tunnel operations more reliable and made it easier for our teams to remotely monitor and control the equipment.
Organized by the Association des firmes de génie-conseil du Québec, this event recognizes Quebec’s consulting engineering contributions in 13 different categories, such as Building, Environment, Industry, Transportation, Municipal, and Outstanding Young Professional. It also highlights the importance of collaboration between contractors and project authorities.
Congratulations to everyone!
