Your mission
JCCBI is looking for an Advisor, Talent Development and Transformation, to help fulfill the mission of the Human Resources department which is stated as follows: Our department supports employees and managers with openness so that everyone can thrive, develop and contribute their talents to the Corporation to make it an attractive workplace that is constantly evolving.
Main duties
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, you will play a key role in developing employee skills, managing change initiatives, driving organizational improvements, and meeting strategic goals.
You will design, implement and supervise innovative training programs to develop and manage talent to support change initiatives and organizational transformation projects while creating a positive and inclusive work environment.
You will work closely with internal staff to help ease transitions and minimize resistance to change. You will play a key role in improving organizational effectiveness and achieving strategic objectives to support the Corporation’s adaptability and performance in a constantly changing environment.
- Plan and develop proactive approaches and programs to ensure that they reflect the desired employee experience.
- Plan and implement change management strategies to support organizational transformation projects.
- Be a recognized partner in the organizational health approach, which includes violence and harassment prevention, that the Corporation is implementing to achieve Recognized Healthy Enterprise certification.
- Provide expertise in health and wellness to develop and implement action plans.
- Co-chair the Corporation’s Workplace Equity, Diversity, Health and Wellness Committee.
- Conduct organizational surveys and, based on the collected data, suggest improvements that are in line with established orientations.
- Establish and manage team building and engagement projects and define roles and responsibilities.
- With the relevant departments, identify the required needs for skills and new hires.
- Design and implement innovative training and talent-development programs that are aligned with the Corporation’s strategic objectives.
- Develop communication plans to inform and engage employees with regard to training and change initiatives.
- Measure the effectiveness of training programs and change initiatives and suggest improvements based on the data.
- Act as an advisor to managers and provide support to employees and teams to ensure that the new skills and changes are adopted over the long term.
- With members of the Human Resources team, oversee the continuous improvement of HR processes and programs.
- During busier periods, oversee the staffing of positions at different levels.
Experience and education
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, industrial relations, organizational psychology or a related field.
- Have at least five years of experience in major projects related to organizational transformation, talent management principles, change management, etc.
- Proficiency in change management methodologies such as the ADKAR, Kotter or Prosci models.
- In-depth knowledge of skills development techniques and training programs.
- Proven skills in project planning, coordination and supervision.
- Ability to assess training and talent development needs in a predominantly unionized organization.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent mastery on French and English (spoken and written).
Assets
- Certificate in change management or organizational development.
- Have held an equivalent position at a government or paragovernmental agency.
- Be a member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés.
