When you choose to do an internship at JCCBI, you join a network of experts who innovate and uphold the sustainability of Greater Montréal’s iconic infrastructures. Major works manager, The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) is a federal Crown corporation established in 1978 and is responsible for the Jacques Cartier Bridge, the Québec Bridge, the Estacade, the federal sections of the Bonaventure Expressway and the Honoré Mercier Bridge as well as the Melocheville Tunnel. Also the original Champlain Bridge deconstruction project.
For fall of 2026, we are looking for an intern for our Projects department. This internship will give you hands-on experience working alongside our experienced staff on concrete, rewarding construction, rehabilitation and reinforcement of strategic transport infrastructures projects.

Throughout your internship, you’ll benefit from rigorous supervision by your supervisor, which will help ensure that your learning progresses in line with your goals. You’ll have the option of doing up to two full-time internships, or after your first internship, opt for a contract extension and work part-time during your studies.
Your main responsibilities as an intern
Help fulfill the mission of the Projects direction: To ensure sound management of infrastructure projects by promoting a partnership approach and leveraging expertise for the benefit of the Corporation.
- Support team members in their day-to-day tasks, including updating and producing various documents related to costs, schedules and other project management documentation;
- Contribute to the organization and logistical planning of site visits and other project meetings;
- Contribute to the development and the application of PJCCI project management processes and procedures;
- Take part in the development and improvement of various tools and documents related to communications and stakeholder management;
- Share recommendations, new knowledge and areas for improvement for tracking partner communications and initiatives;
- Perform any other job-related tasks and duties.
Experience and education
- Are in a bachelor’s program in project management, administration, communication, sustainable development or civil engineering;
- Have good writing skills;
- Have proficiency in written and spoken French, ability to communicate verbally in English;
- Have working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the Power BI application.
Assets
- Able to understand and interpret plans and specifications;
- Be familiar with Power BI software;
- Have ASP certification to work at a construction site;
- Have a drivers license.

- Have good priority and time management;
- Be able to manage more than one file at a time;
- Have an interest in subjects such as large-scale infrastructure construction and/or sustainable development.
