For fall of 2026, we are looking for an intern for our Finances department. This internship will give you hands-on experience working alongside our experienced staff on concrete, rewarding projects.

Throughout your internship, you’ll benefit from rigorous supervision by your supervisor, ensuring that your learning progresses in line with your goals. You’ll have the option of doing up to two full-time internships, or after your first internship, opt for a contract extension and work part-time during your studies.

Your main responsibilities as an intern

Help fulfill the mission of the Finances department: In collaboration with internal and external partners, our department diligently produces and reports on financial information as per accountability requirements to help soundly manage public funds.

Reporting directly to the Manager, Financial Operations or the Manager, Budgets, the Accounting Intern, Finance department, will perform various administrative tasks related to financial accounting and financial analysis. You may also be asked to work on continuous improvement projects.

  • Help review and develop processes related to the business plan, financial operations and documentation of these.  Work with internal auditors as required.
  • Participate in the optimization of various financial processes.
  • Gather information to establish and analyze annual financial forecasts and explain variances compared to the authorized budget.
  • Prepare different management information reports for senior managers and internal business partners.
  • Maintain and monitor budgetary and financial controls in accordance with the applicable standards and regulations.
  • Participate at quarter-end process and the various related files.
  • Support the Corporation’s managers and provide the necessary tools and reports to establish and regularly track the budget.
  • Propose and develop work tools and management analysis tools.
  • Support the Finance Division through various initiatives.
  • Carry out specific studies for specific projects.
  • Prepare periodic reports and analyze results obtained during the fiscal year.
  • Participate in the Annuel Budget process and help prepare the Corporate Plan.
  • Perform all other related tasks to support the Finance Division.

Experience and education

  • Are in a bachelor’s program in finance or administration, preferably working toward a professional accounting designation.
  • Have good knowledge of the following software: Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook.
  • Are able to communicate orally and in writing in both official languages.

Assets

  • Have working knowledge of the following software: SAP ByDesign, Microsoft Power BI.
