JCCBI is responsible for managing the structure of the Quebec Bridge, CN manages the rail deck, and the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable du Québec (MTMD) is responsible for the road deck and the sidewalk. CN and MTMD have been responsible for their respective decks for several decades now.
JCCBI has already begun working on the Québec Bridge. To keep up the bridge’s maintenance, since February 2025, JCCBI has been continuing the steel repair and painting work started by CN on the south shore section of the structure.
JCCBI will be managing this asset from a new office in Québec City. The Quebec City team will thus be able to develop a better understanding of the structure and its environment, better coordinate contractors and engineering consulting firms, and ensure close relations with the entire community.
