Dear Resident,

We would like to inform you that The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) will be carrying out major work on the Jacques Cartier Bridge in your area. Below is a summary of the work that will begin shortly. Please note that work to develop the land under the bridge will start in June, and you will receive a letter with details about this project at a later date.

Repair work to concrete pedestals and masonry piers

• Work duration: mid-March to the end of June 2020
• Work site hours: Monday to Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• This work will create noise
• Mitigation measures: installation of acoustic panels

Levelling, paving and marking of deck surfaces

• Two major work blitzes the weekends of May 1 to 4 and 15 to 18
• Complete closure of the bridge toward the South Shore
• Work hours: Friday evening to Monday noon
• This work will create noise

Steel, cleaning and painting work

• Work duration: ongoing until July 2021

Closures are required during the work to ensure user and worker safety. JCCBI recommends that users plan their trips accordingly. Note that the schedule may change depending on how the work progresses and on weather conditions.
