Work on the river | Lowering and dismantling of the spans over the St. Lawrence River

Champlain Deconstruction
- The lowering of the first span over the river will be carried out Friday, July 9 depending on weather conditions and may continue in the evening and at night due to operational constraints that require the work to be carried out continuously over a 12-hour period.
- This complex and weather-sensitive work will be carried out a few times a month until the deconstruction of the spans in the marine sector is completed (summer 2023).
- The span deconstruction work will take place on the work platform on the river at the beginning of next week. However, these dates are still to be confirmed depending on the date of the descent of the span.
- Continuous noise monitoring will be conducted during the work, but no exceedance of the noise criteria is anticipated.
- Mitigation measures will be deployed if necessary.
