Major work blitz on the Jacques Cartier Bridge on September 13-16

10 September 2019

The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) would like to notify users that major levelling and paving work and slab repair work, will be carried out on the Jacques Cartier Bridge, during a weekend work blitz, from Friday, September 13 (10:00 p.m.) to Monday, September 16 (5:00 a.m.). During this blitz, there will be closures to lanes and exit ramps, on the Montreal and South Shore sides. Detours via the local network will be set up (see enclosed map).

Closure details

Weekend of September 13 (10:00 p.m.) to September 16 (5:00 a.m.)

  • Lane reductions at the North entrance of the bridge toward the South Shore
  • Complete closure of the bridge exit ramp toward Hwy. 134 W./Hwy. 132/Saint-Laurent
  • Closing of two out of three lanes at the exit of the bridge on the Montreal side in the direction of De Lorimier Avenue North

These planned closures during the work are required to ensure user and worker safety. JCCBI recommends that users plan their trips accordingly. Note that this work could be postponed due to unsuitable weather conditions.
