The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) would like to notify users that major levelling and paving work, electrical conduit excavations and slab repair work, will be carried out on the Jacques Cartier Bridge approaches, in August and September, over weekend work blitzes. During these blitzes from Friday (10:00 p.m.) to Monday (5:00 a.m.), there will be major closures to lanes and the on-ramps and off-ramps on both the South Shore and Montreal sides. Detours via the local network will be set up.
This work is being closely coordinated with our mobility partners and is part of the major repairs being done to extend the service life of the Jacques Cartier Bridge.
These planned closures during the work are required to ensure user and worker safety. JCCBI recommends that users plan their trips accordingly. Note that this work could be postponed due to unsuitable weather conditions.
