Repair work on south approach viaducts

29 June 2017

The major repair work on two viaducts will be conducted on the south approach of the Jacques Cartier Bridge from July to September 2017. To optimize the work and minimize the impact on users and residents, the exit ramp from the Jacques Cartier Bridge to Saint-Laurent Boulevard West in Longueuil will be closed for eight weeks starting Sunday, July 9, at 10:00 p.m. A detour via the local network will be set up. Three weekend work blitzes on the viaducts will also be carried out in August and September for concrete repairs and replacements of joints and membranes.

This work is part of the major repairs currently being done to extend the service life of the Jacques Cartier Bridge and its approach structures. These planned closures are required to ensure user and worker safety during the work. JCCBI recommends that users plan their trips accordingly.
