One in five people will suffer from mental illness at some point in their lifetime.
Mental illness can affect anyone regardless of age, education level, income, gender or culture. Mental illness can affect your feelings, thoughts, physical well-being and actions. These symptoms may or may not be visible to others.
January 31 is Bell Let’s Talk Day. This day reminds us that the simple act of talking about mental health helps break down barriers and prejudices. For each text message, cell phone call, long-distance call, tweet with the hashtag #BellLetsTalk, social media video view, or use of Bell’s Facebook frame or Snapchat filter during the Bell Let’s Talk Day, Bell will donate 5¢ to mental health initiatives.
