The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) will soon complete a first phase of major reinforcement work on the entire metal structure of the Jacques Cartier Bridge, between Tansley Street and Viger Avenue East. This work is required as part of the major repairs currently ongoing to extend the service life of this iconic Montreal structure.
It is expected that a second phase of work will take place between October 2017 and summer 2018, between De Maisonneuve Boulevard East and the entrance to the Jacques Cartier Bridge.
JCCBI would like to thank the residents around the bridge for their great patience and understanding during this first phase of major work. Conscious of the impact of this work on residents, JCCBI continues to make efforts to reduce the impact of the work planned in the next phase.
