Champlain Bridge: Closure of Marie-Victorin Boulevard East March 3 to 5

WORK POSTPONED

Please note that due to the gusts of wind expected this weekend, the closure of Marie-Victorin Boulevard East, planned from Friday, February 24 (10:00 p.m.) to Monday, February 27 (5:00 a.m.), is postponed to the weekend of March 3-5. 

Note that this work could be postponed because of unsuitable weather conditions.

 

The road users that major work on the Champlain Bridge will take place during the weekend of February 25 to 26, 2017, for the installation of modular trusses above Hwy. 132. The planned work will require the closure of Marie-Victorin Boulevard eastbound (under the Champlain Bridge) and some access ramps to the Champlain Bridge from Friday, February 24 at 10:00 p.m. to Monday, February 27 at 5:00 a.m.

Closure details

  • Complete closure of Marie-Victorin Boulevard East at the access ramp for Hwy. 10 East to access Marie-Victorin East and/or the Champlain Bridge

CH 24-25 1

  • Closure of the Exit 53 off-ramp from the Champlain Bridge to the South Shore to access Hwy. 132 East

  • Complete closure of Exit 53 of Hwy. 132 East to access Marie-Victorin East and/or the Champlain Bridge

CH 24-25 3

  • Partial closure: one (1) closed lane on Hwy. 132 East

 

Marked detours will be in place throughout the weekend. JCCBI recommends that users plan their trips accordingly.

This work is part of the major repair program for the Champlain Bridge to ensure user safety until the new Champlain Bridge opens.
